Pakistani grading system
Pakistani universities on the semester system follow the HEC's grading: 85% or more is an A, worth 3.67 to 4.00 grade points, and 50% (D) is the lowest pass. Board exams and older annual-system degrees give percentages with divisions: first from 60%, second from 45%, third from 33%.

Semester-system bachelor's and master's courses at Pakistani universities, under the Higher Education Commission's uniform grading. Each letter carries a range of grade points, and the CGPA averages those points by credit hours.

Pakistani grades and a US GPA
This page gives no US equivalents for Pakistani grades: we found no table for them on Wikipedia or from an official source, and we do not make one up. A US university reads a foreign transcript itself or through the credential evaluation service it names, and its conversion is the one that counts.
Send your grades as they are, with the scale above. When a form asks for your average, give it on your own scale and say which scale it is: the converter’s average does exactly that, weighted by credits when you enter them.
What to know about grades in Pakistan
- HEC's grade points are ranges, so two universities can give different points for the same letter.
- The division scheme is the older system; universities on the semester system report a CGPA out of 4.00 instead.
