About Class Grade Calculator

Find your grade now, work out what a final can change, and turn course grades into a GPA.

The arithmetic beside your grades

Class Grade Calculator is an independent grade-calculation website. It is not connected to your school or gradebook. You enter the scores and rules; the calculator shows how they add up.

Your class rules come first

A blank score and a zero have different meanings here. Category weights stay visible. A target beyond the best possible final is called out before you rely on it.

Your syllabus determines weights, dropped work and rounding. Your transcript determines the official GPA. The tools cannot infer those rules from a school name.

How the calculations and rules are checked

Every calculator runs on the same tested arithmetic. Before each release, automated tests rerun fixed examples through every tool: 92%, 85% and 78% weighted 40/40/20 must give 86.4%; 87% so far with a 30% final must need 97% for a 90%; 25 questions with 3 wrong must give 88%.

School rules come from the school or agency that publishes them: UT Austin and the University of Florida for grade points and grade codes, Chicago Public Schools for its course levels, and each named percentage scale from its own publisher. The Sources page lists each one with the date it was last checked. Your own cutoffs and grade points always take precedence over a preset.

Class Grade Calculator is run by a small independent web publisher. If a result looks wrong, the “Grade looks wrong?” page walks through the usual causes for each calculator.
