Class grades & finals

Find the grade calculator you need

Combine assignments, plan for a final, or find the letter behind a percentage.

Start from what you have

A weighted grade: each category adds its share

Start with the scores you have

If your gradebook shows homework, tests and projects with different weights, use the class grade calculator. Its points mode also combines assignments worth different numbers of points. Leave ungraded work blank so it does not count as a zero.

If your report card has quarters and an exam, the semester grade calculator keeps those shares together, including a full year or modules by credit. For a list of grades that all count the same, paste them into the average grade calculator; letters such as B+ work too.

For one test marked in points, the test grade calculator gives the percentage and the letter, and common scores have their own pages, such as 17 out of 20, 43 out of 50 and 6 out of 7.

Work forward from your target

Once you know your grade so far, the final grade calculator solves for the exam score you need and shows what each letter takes. It also says when a target is out of reach with that final alone.

A percentage becomes a letter through your class cutoffs. After the course is complete, choose a GPA calculator to combine its grade with your other courses.

Marks and percentages in India

A marksheet with marks in each subject needs the marks percentage calculator, which can also count only your best five. IGNOU students can combine assignment and term-end marks with the IGNOU percentage calculator.

Every formula on one page

To check a result by hand, or to keep the arithmetic beside your syllabus, the grade and GPA formula sheet works each formula once, from a weighted grade to the score a final needs, and prints on one page.
