Peruvian grading system
In Peru, university grades run from 20 (best) to 0, and 11 is the lowest pass.
Example · Credit-weighted average of 3 courses
muy bueno (very good)
A pass. 11 is the lowest pass.
3 courses, 15 credits. Your institution’s own rules on rounding or cutting off decimals decide the grade on your record.
Wikipedia’s US table gives letters, not points, so it cannot average these grades: check them one at a time.

Peruvian grades in US terms
Wikipedia’s table reads the university grades on the US scale as below. It is one convention, not a rule: each US university, or the credential evaluation service it names, makes its own conversion, so the school you apply to decides what your grades are worth.
| Peruvian grade | US letter |
|---|---|
| 18.00–20.00 | A |
| 15.00–17.99 | B |
| 11.00–14.99 | C |
| 00.00–10.99 | D |
What to know about grades in Peru
- Course grades are usually whole numbers, and many institutions round averages, so a 10.5 often counts as a passing 11.
- A few colleges set the pass mark at 10 instead of 11.
- Some schools and colleges reserve 00 for an exam not taken or for serious misconduct such as plagiarism.
- State schools now report learning with the achievement levels AD, A, B and C instead of marks out of 20.
